The EM exam spans 18 domains: Abdominal and gastrointestinal disorders (9% of the exam); Cardiovascular disorders (9% of the exam); Cutaneous disorders (3% of the exam); Endocrine, metabolic and nutritional disorders (5% of the exam); Environmental disorders (4% of the exam); Head, ear, nose and throat disorders (5% of the exam); Hematologic and immune system disorders (3% of the exam); Systemic infectious disorders (7% of the exam); Musculoskeletal disorders (nontraumatic) (5% of the exam); Nervous system disorders (7% of the exam); Obstetrics and gynecology disorders (6% of the exam); Psychobehavioral disorders (4% of the exam); Renal and urogenital disorders (5% of the exam); Thoracic-respiratory disorders (7% of the exam); Toxicological disorders/clinical pharmacology (5% of the exam); Traumatic disorders (8% of the exam); EMS, disaster medicine and administrative aspects of emergency medicine (2% of the exam); Procedures/skills (6% of the exam). The domains are not weighted equally on the exam.
